The Strikes for Kids celebrity bowling event is Sacramento’s premiere family friendly event! Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee is inviting his celebrity and athlete friends to Sacramento to support our community’s homeless youth. Derrek’s 1st Touch Foundation will hold the Strikes for Kids Celebrity Bowling event on January 30, 2010 to benefit the youth programs at St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children. The services offered by St. John’s have been able to answer the needs and prayers of many. Their valuable work has recently been featured on Oprah, KCRA Channel 3, and the Sacramento Bee. The event includes bowling with professional athletes and celebrities, autograph station, celebrity bartenders, live music, baseball skills clinic, celebrity billiards shootout, food, drink, and more!
